Students having at least a 3.0 GPA in a scientific field of study enhancing the environment whose primary residence is Wisconsin may apply, for the following school year, during their sophomore – senior year of a four-year college or during graduate school. (Exception: Myrtle B. Ogilvie Scholarship: GPA of 2.5 or above, freshmen and those attending a two-year college may apply.) Students applying for a WGCF scholarship must attend a school within Wisconsin. Those applying for a NGC scholarship do not have this requirement.
The purpose of this scholarship is to advance a graduating high school student’s pursuit toward a degree in a horticulture-related field of study such as landscape design, botany, conservation, forestry, or environmental studies. Academic proficiency and an active extra-curricular record are advantageous.
