Summit Credit Union: Project Teen Money

History

Applicants will first be asked to apply with a 30-60 second video on why they want to apply for the scholarship. 6 students total will be chosen from the applicants (2 from East, 2 from Memorial, and 2 from La Follette High School). Participants in Project Teen Money will become peer ambassadors of Summit Credit Union and will submit 3 videos each teaching their peers about personal finance. 

Horatio Alger State Scholarship

History

State scholarships are awarded to eligible students in all fifty states and the District of Columbia. The program specifically assists high school students who have faced and overcome great obstacles in their young lives. The scholarships are funded by Horatio Alger Members who, like the Scholars, have experienced challenges but ultimately overcame them to become successful business and civic leaders.

WSCA High School Scholarship

History

Together with the WSCA, Xello and Method Test Prep are extremely excited to be able to continue engaging and inspiring Wisconsin students to achieve their fullest potential. Four $1,000 scholarships are available for Wisconsin seniors. Applicants are asked to reflect on their experiences with school counselors and how counselors have helped prepare them for their post secondary path. 

Aspiring Animation Professional Scholarship

History

Intended for high schools seniors who plan to pursue a career in animation and/or a design related field. 

Award

  • $1,000

Eligibility

  • The scholarship is limited to high school seniors in the US pursuing an animation related degree program at an accredited post-secondary school or college. 
  • Applicant must demonstrate record of academic success
  • Must have a passion for animation and/or a design related field

Patriot's Scholarship

History

Write an essay: “What Patriotism means to me.” (1000 words or less)

Award

  • $500

Eligibility

  • Must be a senior at Monona Grove or La Follette High School
  • Must plan to attend a 2-year or 4-year college/university in the fall
  • Must be able to demonstrate current and past leadership and patriotism in your school and community

HCCW/Phillip Arreloa Scholarship

History

Awarded to a State of Wisconsin graduating high school senior

Award

  • $10,000 ($2,500 a year) 

Eligibility

  • Must be a legal resident or US citizen
  • Must be enrolled at an accredited Wisconsin college/university
  • Must demonstrate financial need
  • Academic achievement
  • Must demonstrate a history of scholastic achievement and participation in school and/or community activities
