UnityPoint Health–Meriter offers local high school students who are going into the healthcare industry the opportunity to apply for financial assistance through the Healthcare Scholarship Program. We started this program in 1987, the same year that Madison General and Methodist Hospital merged to become Meriter. In just 32 years, 580 scholarships, totaling more than $651,000 have been awarded to local high school seniors pursing higher education in healthcare.
Students must complete the application, write an essay, submit a transcript, and provide a letter of recommendation to apply. You can find detailed information about the program requirements here.
Students can submit their application by visiting the UnityPoint Health–Meriter Volunteer Services website and completing the application found on the 2020 Scholarship Program page. Please note, a Google account is required. The deadline to apply is February 14, 2020. Incomplete applications and applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
